This year there were 2 rather ‘big’ names in the dutch music. Go back to the Zoo, a upcoming rockband and Jacqueline Govaert, a female singer who played in a band called Krezip before but has gone solo now. Also a band who I thought found very very entertaining was the Bazzookas! A dutch Ska band that know how to throw a party!

Me and my girlfriend went all 3 days and below a result of my shots made that weekend.

Today I’m showing you all a selection of the photo’s I’ve taken. So many beautiful butterflies! It was a good 2 hours drive but definately worth it. I’m sure I’ll be going back there again sometime. Like my previous macro post, if any of you know any of the names of the butterflies, feel free to share!

We were kind of shocked at first, it’s not a question you should answer with a straight yes before thinking it through first. A whole lot of responsibilty. After a few days of thought we decided to accept their offer. Nervous wrecks as we are we planned, planned and planned even more and even borrowed 2 D700 camera’s + lenses from 2 of our friends (Robin & Aline Thank you so much!!!) On June the 3d the big day arrived. Below a small selection of my work that day.

Saturday the 23d of April Me, my brother in law and my Father in law went to the Autorai 2011 Carshow in Amsterdam. I was seriously doubting if I would take my camera with me because I know how busy it is. But since we were going on the last day I took the gamble and brought my camera with me!
Boy was I glad I took it! Fantastic cars and not too busy so I was able to get some decent compositions.

Yesterday was a very rainy sunday so me and my girlfriend built a ministudio in her livingroom.
We used a large white roll of background paper and 2 strobes. 1 with diffuser box on it and 1 with a white umbrella used as diffuser. Emptied my jar of Perler beads and started playing with my Nikkor 105mm 2.8VR Macro lens.
Above the results of playing with a macro lens and an emptied jar of perler beads.
